Free version of Puzzle Bonsai (contains a few example puzzles from every mode) is now uploaded to Apple and should be out soon!
Here’s a few hints for solving some of the puzzles in Puzzle Bonsai.
Words:
- Letters not found in result word mean that a minus operator is bound to be somewhere
- If there are extra characters on the right side of the minus operator, they will do nothing and get removed. For example ‘aabbcc’ (minus) ‘abx’ will result in ‘cc’
- You can often deduce ‘alternate characters’ operator at the root of the tree by looking at characters that are (and are not) on each side of the tree
Numbers:
- Divisions are always even integer divisions, so you can often eliminate the division sign quite easily
- Intermediate results can be negative too
Shapes:
- Make sure you understand how the signs work in the first easy puzzles before continuing to the more difficult puzzles, they can be a bit confusing
- If both sides have empty squares at same positions, no sign will turn the resulting square white
- If you hold on to an operator for a few seconds, the operator will show how it works
The game is now available in the App Store!
Puzzle Bonsai is now submitted to App Store, and is waiting for Apple to review it. So if all goes well, it should be available in maybe a few weeks!
